#34 Challenge – Make It Purple

Here’s a little info about Some Odd Girl from Kristy: Some Odd Girl is the place to find fun and quirky digis that I know you will love! Some Odd Girl was inspired by two great friends who are such dolls! They took one of my pencil drawings and made it into red rubber and that act of generosity spiraled into what you see today. I am a married momma of 2 who has a hubby who not only loves me but supports my crafting and my site as my IT guy. What more could a girl want? I am an artist born who started out with pencils then acrylics and now also scrapbook and am a cardmaker. I design things that I love and hope you have as much fun with our stamps as we do!

THE CHALLENGE

This week our challenge is to color with purple.  Your card should feature purple prominently, but does not need to be only purple.  The MIC DT have made some great cards in the gallery.  Be sure to leave them some love!

TIPS AND TRICKS

The most helpful tips for me on a color challenges are to see the colors that others have used to get a particular effect. Angela has used V99, V95, V93, V91 for a wonderful spooky effect.

Anneke has a tutorial on her blog for coloring greyish purple.

Marianne Walker has some great coloring examples with purple – including this one on adding texture.

Are Promakers your thing?  I love the purples in this tutorial at Passion for Promarkers.

Things to know!

All entries should be submitted by Saturday the 17th September midday QLD Australia time.
Entries can be submitted up until you can no longer see the gallery available!
At this time the gallery is hidden so the team can place their votes for the top 3!

If you have trouble uploading your photo, reduce the size of your image to 800px wide or high.
If you are unsure how to do this, uploading your photo to your blog and then saving it again from your blog will automatically resize the image for you.

This is a colouring challenge

You don’t need to make a full card/project

You can submit a coloured image ONLY!

You can use ANY colouring medium
Markers, pencils, paints, finger paint and even electronic computer colouring!

YOU MUST have coloured the image YOURSELF.

How cool to have an Aussie challenge – I am so glad I found you!! YAY! I am in Melbourne, Victoria. Thanks for trying to help figure this out. My member screen does not have the “upload photo” option it goes from Profile to log out. When I check my profiled, it says “registered 9-3-11″ “Status” unregistered. Then my email and password. Can you help? Thanks in advance
