Challenge #1 – Orange/Black OR Spooky Background

Hello Colour addicts!!

Did you miss us?!?! We’re Back!!

It is with much excitement that I welcome you back to the ‘Make it Colourful’ challenges. Yes, they are starting up again and I hope you will be able to join the fun each month and grow and expand your skills as we challenge you to pick up your colouring medium and try something new. Don’t feel afraid as it’s just a bit of paper and if you really goof up, you can always throw it away and start again. πŸ™‚

Each month we’ll challenge you to TWO challenges. An easy challenge to whet your appetite and then a hard challenge to get you to explore new ideas and grow more confident.

Want Feedback??
We’re also here to encourage you along the way so if you would like to receive feedback on your project and advice on how you can improve – pop over to the Make it Crafty private FB group and post your project there where we can actively interact with you. Just make sure to let us know ‘what’ you would like advice on or you may not receive the help you are after. πŸ™‚

Easy Challenge – Orange and Black

With Halloween just around the corner we thought it would be fun to bring out the spooky characters, so the easy challenge is based on the traditional colours of ‘Orange & Black’. Simply colour your image making sure that the main colours used are a mix of orange and black.

Here are two examples to help inspire you!

Hard Challenge – Spooky Background

Actually the easy challenge of orange and black was created so I could ‘REALLY’ challenge you to colour a spooky background! heheeΒ
Initially the challenge was to colour a ‘smokey’ background so if you want to get really creative go for it like Barbara has but otherwise – Spooky background will be perfect!

Check out this inspiration

Jennifer

Jenn came up with the idea of colouring a ghost! Isn’t it the COOLEST idea!
I LOVE it and so I challenged Barbara to do it too of course.
(I love how I get to challenge the girls and somehow I manage to sneak out of doing it myself)

Barbara

Barbara did this awesome smokey background with her ghost BUT you have to check out her blog to see the WHOLE effect. You wont be disappointed.

Hi Zoey, I have put my entry into the easy challenge and now I’m not sure if I qualify. I thought it was just Black & Orange so I’ve made a black and orange card but is it supposed to be spooky as well?? Andrea.

Andrea, it doesn’t have to be a Halloween image to be coloured black and orange so you can definitely use any images as you have. xo
