Our sponsor for this week’s challenge is:
HUGE CONGRATS to TIDDLY INKS!
Today is their FIRST BIRTHDAY!!!!!
And to celebrate, Christy has released a whole heap of new images AND is having a treasure hunt blog hop!!
Tiddly Inks offers digital stamps and digital papers, created by Christy Croll. Christy is a self-trained illustrator who likes simple, cute and quirky drawings with a sense of humor. She draws what amuses her, which means some days it is quirky and cute and other days it is a bit of twisted gothic feel.
From Christy
Personally, I hate doing dishes and folding laundry, so my house is often a mess … but I try every once in a while to clean it as quickly as I can – don’t look behind the pile in the closet.
I have one daughter who makes me smile, inspires me, and for so many reasons, she is my everything. Most of my illustrations revolve around something she did or said, but the rest of the time, they are inspired by other people’s kids and animals…maybe yours.
My life is too short not to be doing something I love
and that is what art is for me:
It makes me smile; it makes me laugh and without a doubt it is something I love.
And if my art makes you smile, then I have just doubled the fun.
Challenge time and lots of inspiration from the Design Team.
We can’t wait to see what you come up with when you use …

Colours are a range of warm greys and a touch of 100 (black).
Reds are R39/37/24/01/000. Most of the black/grey highlighted areas were given a tiny touch of R000 or R01 to echo the red sky. R24 and R01 was scribbled onto an acrylic block, then wetted the sky, area by area, with W1. Some red was picked up from the block with the W1 and carried into the sky near the horizon in light sweeping motions.
Basically used reds as paint and W1 as a brush.
