Welcome back colour addicts!

Another month has passed, and so did a challenge, now we’re down to our 8th crafty challenge. Isn’t it just fun to have something new to look forward to each month?

It was beautiful to see how you have all participated in our 7th challenge, thank you for making every month nothing but beautiful and colourful. Now, it’s time to take out those colours once more. Go right ahead and join the fun, join us with our new challenge today! 

The Challenge

There will be TWO challenges at the start of each month. The easy challenge to give you a good start and the hard challenge to bring out the artist in you. Go ahead, explore and learn new colouring tricks and ideas, it will only make you better.

We are no experts in this field that this has been a challenge for us too. We are here to give you the encouragement to help you move along and to give you feedback and advice about your project to help you improve – pop over to the Make it Crafty private FB group and post your project there where we can actively interact with you. Just make sure to let us know ‘what’ you would like advice on or you may not receive the help you are after. :)

Easy Challenge – Purple & Turquoise

This week we would like you to make turquoise and purple your main colour choices. Please note colour challenges are to be ‘coloured’ and not how you use your designer paper etc. This is a colouring challenge. 🙂

Hard Challenge – Colour on Something Other Than White Cardstock

Have you tried colouring on something other than white paper/cardstock? This month we would like you try colouring on something different. It could be kraft, material, glass or even balsa wood like Barbara as experimented with.

Challenge Details:
A new challenge will be posted on the 1st of each month and finish at the end of the month.
You must include at least ONE Make it Crafty image – this can include a background image and can be combined with images from other brands. 
This is a COLOURING challenge and must include some type of colouring whether it be with markers, pencils, paints, distress inks or even finger painting. The choice is yours! :D 
You can enter as many times as you like as long as each project is a new creation. (No Back linking)
You CAN combine both challenges into one project and enter the same project into BOTH link ups.
You DO NOT have to make a card and can submit your coloured image only. Please make sure you WATERMARK the image with you name.

Winners will be announced on the 14th of the following month
There are NO random winners. 
The DT will vote at the end of the challenge and ‘One’ winner will be selected from each Challenge
A top 3 will be selected across ALL entries


A $15 Gift Voucher will be rewarded to the winner of each challenge.

    Awesome challenge!! Zoe, can you enlighten me on the kraft paper you are suggesting? Is it any cardstock kraft color paper? Sorry, I’ve never used it before.

      Yes Maria, there are many different types of kraft paper and even the girls have used different types here. If you have some on hand, just try experimenting with it. You could even try DP paper, coloured cardboard like black!, soft material, translucent paper and more… most of all have fun experimenting! 🙂

    If you’ve ever seen the rolls of brown paper used to wrap meat, cover windows etc, this can and is also consindered Kraft paper. here’s a link of example c

    and then there is Kraft specifically ceated for crafting.

    paper sacks work as Sandra mentioned.
    Lots and lots of options with Kraft and as Zoe says whatever you like to color on. Have fun with it.

    I’ll try to colour on Kraft paper. Don’t know if I manage it.

    Hopefully you will see this card online end of this week begin next week.
