Make It Crafty May 1, 2014 5

Welcome back colour fanatics!

It’s the month of May, how time flies so fast. Here we are with another challenge for you, our 9th challenge. If it’s fun and surprises that you’re looking for, then you’ve come to the right place. We share the same joy with looking forward to something new every time.

You all know how we love seeing your art, so it’s that time of the month where we are excited to reveal our challenge and once again see brilliant masterpieces from each of you.

To all those who participated in our 8th challenge, thank you so much for making it a success! And to everyone who’s just about to join the fun, come on and show us what you’ve got!

There will be TWO challenges at the start of each month. The easy challenge to give you a good start and the hard challenge to bring out the artist in you. Go ahead, explore and learn new colouring tricks and ideas, it will only make you better.

Want Feedback?

We are no experts in this field that this has been a challenge for us too. We are here to give you the encouragement to help you move along and to give you feedback and advice about your project to help you improve – pop over to the Make it Crafty private FB group and post your project there where we can actively interact with you. Just make sure to let us know ‘what’ you would like advice on or you may not receive the help you are after. :)

Easy Challenge – Different Skin Combinations

This month we want you to try experimenting with different skin colours. Throw away those go to colours and try something new! You might even try colouring a dragon…  Teehee

Make sure you tell us what colours you have used on your blog page.

Hard Challenge – Alter An Image Through Colouring Only

Now it’s time to put your colouring skills to the test. We want you to try it even if you think you’re no good. This is what helps you expand your skills and takes you to places you didn’t think was possible.

We want you to try your hand at colouring something with extra features what we like to call ‘creative colouring’.

You colour draw a face on a character, or even flowers buds… Lol. You could add scars, horns, hats and more. Add some new feature that isn’t in the original line drawing but you can only do it with your colouring medium. No altering of the lines….

Check out the weekly specials over on the Make it Crafty inspiration blog where you can get 50% off of selected images every Friday.

I would like to take part in the May challenge but do not have a blog, all I use is YouTube and Facebook, can I still enter? I am on your mailing list as well as a follower of your facebook. Thanks for your help

      Hi Teresa,

Yes you can still enter without a blog.
When you click on the ‘Blue Add your link’ button it will take you to another screen where you can add a link to your youtube page if you wish and then you can select to ‘upload’ your image rather than link to it.

If that doesn’t work, you are welcome to upload your image to the MiC Facebook group and then copy the URL of the image to add to the inlinkz which will then just link the team through to your image on facebook.

Looking forward to seeing your creation this month.

I just entered a couple of cards for the challenges but don’t know if I will be able to do the hard one. I really wanted to try that one. I will give it a try but don’t know if I will have enough time. Great entries everyone!
