Challenge #28 – Colouring Dark Skin

MakeitColourful July 30, 2011 4

Hi Everyone,

I hope you all had fun colouring up your different embellishments last week!

This weeks sponsor is the adorable Crissy Armstrong

A little about Crissy
I draw illustrations for Whimsy Stamps where I have both a rubber and a digital collection. Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps, Wags ‘N Whiskers Stamps, Squigglefly, and High Hopes Stamps also sell my illustrations in either rubber stamp or digital formats. I work from home in lovely Canada where I live with my husband Mike and our two cutie-pie mutts, Avro and Spitfire.

Crissy is offering the winner their choice of three digital stamps from the
Whimsy stamps line she illustrates.

The Challenge!!

We want you to colour your characters with dark skin!

This was a tough one! So often many of us stick with what we are ‘used’ to and colouring dark skin is not something many of us do on a regular basis.

We hope that you’ll give it a try this week with us.

Crissy has some of the most adorable little girls that are perfect to practice your dark skin on.

wow wonderful DT cards! and already some truly lovely entries! I didn’t make mine into a finished project as I want to save them for a scrapbook page I’m going to make.
I had heaps of fun! and for once am totally happy with my colouring (well the colours but it is a bit messy).

And as for ‘Happy Days’ comment above mine … give it a go! I have started entering challenges (and my skills are also ;/ ) and nope have not won any but I get such a kick out of seeing my card up there with totally gorgeous creations and I feel proud of giving it a go. So try .. you may be pleasantly suprised …. your skills are probably better than you think.

    Happy crafting everyone 🙂
