Please welcome our first guest designer this week – Kaylou. A little bit about Kaylou:
1.When did you start crafting and what made you start? I first started crafting properly fifteen /sixteen years ago when myself and my Hubby (I know we are not technically married) Lee first bought our house… I have always loved colouring and art since I was little… although I did fail my art exam at school…Ssshh! I was obviously doing the wrong kind of ‘creativeness’….lol.
….and I have been hooked since then.
2.What’s your favourite colouring medium? I have a few different mediums I like to work with such as distress inks, Koh – i- nor pencils and aqua markers,my absolute favourite though are promarkers…..I like the different effects and styles you can create with them….what I usually will do is look at the image and the theme and choose a medium that suits accordingly.
3. Where do you craft? Where do I craft….ha haaaaa….occasionally my children remind me that it is actually a dining room and not a craft room….lol… so yes the dining room we have quite a big dining table ( well you would with four children) but I like to craft there and it’s nice when the kids do things at the same time.
4.What is your favourite MIC image/s? Ooooh my favourite MiC images I think are the Steam punk ones the Elizabeth J images is gorgeous, they made me think more about my colouring and where I add my details….. but I am loving those new naughty Elves…
5.Do you have a favourite type/style of card that you like to make? I’m not sure If I have a style I like to stick to although I do tend to make 6×6 cards, I love to try new things and have a go at different styles..I usually have quite a few idea buzzing around my head what I would like to do , but I just never have enough time, sometimes they works and sometimes… well I call it a learning curve!

Please welcome our second guest designer this week – Trudie. A little bit about Trudie:
1.When did you start crafting and what made you start? I have always been arty-crafty and did a fashion design and illustration course at college. I used to design and make wedding dresses, even starting my own wedding planning business but due to rapid decline in my health, unfortunatly I had to give all this up. I am not one of those people who can just do nothing, my mind is always active and my hands needed to be to. I guess this is when I started with the crafting side of things. I have tried everything from jewellery making, fimo sculpters to oil painting and novelty cakes. I still love doing the cakes now when I am well enough. I guess I started playing with colouring about a year ago but never did very much. It wasn’t untill this May that I saw the ‘Fairy House’ image used on a card and fell in love with it. I did a search, found it and have been hooked ever since! This is when I started to collect my pro markers and copics and the obssession started!!
2.What’s your favourite colouring medium? Without a doubt its my copics…. I still use the pro markers with them as I don’t have the full colour range yet…..:-(.
3. Where do you craft? We live in a small 2 bedroom flat and short of selling my son I won’t have a craftroom here so I have taken over the dining room table. Our living area is one large ‘through room’ so my stash seems to spread itself everywhere!! Luckily we have a nice big table but I thin we will only ever eat very important meals (like christmas dinner) off of it again because I hate having my things moved!!!! When my health is really bad I lay on the sofa with pens around me and just colour lying down!!!
4.What is your favourite MIC image/s? Wow, now this is a question!! I have to say I think my favourites are the Steampunk images. This release just grabbed me! I also adore the manga style images and the elements are great to work with. I guess my favourite is whatever I am colouring at the time!!
5.Do you have a favourite type/style of card that you like to make? I don’t think I do really. I enjoy the building up of scenes and colouring more than anything…… the images and size then dictates what needs to be done with them. I am still used to working big (a college thing I guess!) so sometimes my colourings end up in frames as pictures!
