Challenge #30 – Make it Wet!

MakeitColourful August 13, 2011 8

Hi Everyone!!

Well it seems that PINK was a favourite! I guess it’s nice to have an easy one every now and then right? Well… NOT FOR LONG!! Muahahaa This week it is a hard one. Even the Make it Colourful girls have been fretting all week as they have been trying to tackle this one!

But before we get on to the challenge, please welcome our fabulous sponsor this week Mo Manning!

Mo is the incredible illustrator behind “Mo’s Digital Pencil” and she also has a range of her images available in both rubber (Stamping Bella) and clear (Stampavie) stamps.

Not only does Mo illustrate gorgeous images for the crafting community, but she has been a children’s book illustrator for many years.

Mo is offering the winner this week their choice of TWO fabulous digi stamps from Mo’s Digital Pencil.

Thanks Mo!! πŸ™‚

The Challenge!!

This week we want you to colour something that looks WET!!

You could colour raindrops, dew drops, puddles and so on, but it must ‘look wet’.

You CANNOT add ‘gloss’ to something to make it look wet. It’s all about using your colouring mediums!!

Our fabulous August guest

Coloured with ProMarkers

Metallic Flowers

Tiddly Inks – Tanker Fairy Sits

Gears Galore Chippies

purchase from HERE in the UK

The MiC Girls!

I added dashed of blue to indicate rain, made the "dirt" dark like it is when it gets wet and added a light colour to the top of the cobblestones to make it appear as if the sky was reflecting off the surface of the wet rocks. Having an image in a rain coat and gumboots adds to the wet day impression – I HOPE – LOL

Mo Manning – Waiting for Rain

MiC – Cobblestone Path

Toto & Pond-a Lily

Butterfly leaves
Coloured with Copic Markers

Coloured with Pencils

Whimsical Mushroom – MiC

Kai in the Rain – Mo Manning
Pebblestone Patch – MiC

Filigree Borders & Love Heart Swirls

Rose Garden – MiC

A time to relax – MiC

Cici – MiC
I think they did a fabulous job!!

Make sure you pop back for some tips tomorrow with Jen!

Oh my gosh. What a clever challenge idea. I don’t think I have ever conceptualized doing this before. How cool.

Please discard my entry, I have used pen on the water but it’s not showing up on the photo very well and I’m not sure I can get a clearer picture.

It was a fun challenge to try though, so thanks!

Hi Zoe …I just can’t do this one … I have been trying all week! Wow what a challenge! But my Husband has had a go on an image I coloured with copics … he added the ‘water’ using a computer program but I’m not sure if that can be counted as an entry. He wants me to put it in … but I thought I should check with you first.

    Thanks πŸ™‚
